Dear Shia,

You breastfeed every 2 hours, wear size 1 diapers, and 0-3 month clothes.

You are nearly a pro at lifting your head and can already roll from your tummy to back.

You have blue eyes and wavy brown hair.

You have completed our tiny, broken, wild family like nobody else could. I may lose my patience sometimes and feel super emotional some days. To be honest, I feel really lousy that you happen to be born during an extremely rough time in my life. I'm not my happiest, fullest self yet ,Shia, and I'm sorry about that. When I look back on these days, you will be the highlight. You are the hope I have for the changes in this family. It won't always be this messy and broken, but I'm so happy you are along for the ride and keep us going forward.

Because of you, Ronin is learning so much about himself by being your big brother. He loves to pat your head when you're sad, he shares his toys with you, and cuddles with you.

This month has been a totally life changing experience for us and I couldn't have gotten through it without your aunts, Krissy an Samie, and your "Mamoo". They have sacrificed their time to be with us during this transition and even though it's rough it's also a lot of fun. Happy one-month, Shia, I'm looking forward to all the changes to come and memories we'll have.
